Capture 'Spirit of Redditch' on camera for chance to win St Stephen's Cup

COULD you capture the ‘Spirit of Redditch’ on camera?

Following on from last year’s hugely successful Field to Factory themed photo competition, the Redditch Standard has once again joined with St Stephen’s Church and Webheath Digital Photography Club (DPC) for its latest competition – the Spirit of Redditch.

Up for grabs are the St Stephen’s trophies, one for the best digital image and one for the best print.

Organiser Dennis Moore of the Webheath club said: “This year the theme is designed to capture the thoughts, feelings and hearts of local photographers through the lenses of their cameras – or their phones.

“What do they see when looking at events and locations both in the town and in their travels around and through it?”

The competition is open to everyone in Redditch and like last year the judges will be the Reverend Paul Lawlor, town centre chaplain and vicar of St Stephen’s and Ross Crawford, editor of the Redditch Standard.

An exhibition of both the prints and digital images will be put on show in the Kingfisher Shopping Centre on Friday, Saturday and Sunday, July 6-8.

If you are not a member of either Webheath DPC or Redditch U3A Photo Group, submissions must have your name and email address.

Ideally digital images should be 1400 x 1050 pixels or larger to maintain quality.

Images should be emailed to [email protected] or to [email protected] and marked ‘For Stephen’s Trophy 2018’ in the subject title.

Prints may be offered for sale with all proceeds going to the St Stephen’s Restoration Fund.
