A recent survey has found that around eight in 10 people overpack their luggage, which can mean they end up paying extra costs when flying.
The study into packing habits, conducted by discount voucher website MyVoucherCodes, found that 36 per cent of people took too many toiletries on holiday with them, with 27 per cent over estimating how many books they could read whilst away.
20 per cent of holiday-go-er packed too much aftersun, while 18 per cent took too many extra pairs of shoes with them.
The study also found that men and women tend to pack differently, with 71 per cent of gents folding their clothes, while only 31 per cent of women chose to pack this way, preferring rolling instead.
