IRISH band ‘The Fureys’ will be heading into Redditch’s Palace Theatre to perform on March 23.

The folk based band are celebrating their 40th anniversary this year and have released a new CD to celebrate called ‘The Fureys 40 years on… to be continued’.

The Fureys have played in front of such people as former Australian Prime Minister John Howard, former Irish President Mary McAleese as well as late Pope John Paul. Whilst former British Prime Minister Tony Blair has publicly stated that ‘Green Fields of France’ was his favourite peace song of all time.

Renowned for their hit songs ‘I will love you’, ‘When you were sweet 16’, ‘The Old Man’ and ‘Red Rose Cafe’ among others, a Fureys concert is guaranteed to be a night to remember.

The event starts at 7.30pm and tickets are available in person or at the box office on 01527 65203.

They can also be found at www.redditchpalacetheatre.co.uk and are priced at £20 and £18.50 (concessions) inclusive of booking fee.
