STICKS man Robert Brian is back at the Palace Drum Clinic, and this time he’s bringing some new cymbals with him as well.
Robert’s a busy session/touring drummer who’s worked with the likes of Goldfrapp, Peter Gabriel, Simple Minds, Modern English, Siouxsie Sioux, Loreena Mckinett, Coati Mundi, Clara Ponty, Laura Pausini, Michel Polnareff, Hugh Cornwell and many more.
In 2017 he was up for a Grammy with the Italian artist Laura Pausini for an album he worked on called ‘Simili’, the album went triple platinum and the single hit number 1 in Italy and Spain. And on top of that they won a Grammy!
Also in 2017 he recorded tracks with Goldfrapp for their album called ‘Silver Eye’ which hit No6 in the UK chart.
He took the Palace drum clinic by storm last year and now has three albums ready for release in 2018 with Canadian folk artist Lorenna McKinnett, the French pianist and singer Clara Ponty and Italian singing sensation Pausini.
As well as recording/touring he performs drum clinics for DW Drums and has been a guest tutor in the US drumming magazine ‘Modern Drummer’ and the UK magazine ‘Rhythm’.
In 2012 Rob appeared on the DrumChannel as the featured guest in an hour long show of interviews and drumming performances.
