ROBIN Windsor’s ‘All Fun Farewell Tour’ will be dancing its way in to the Palace Theatre on November 8, as the famous ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ contestant gets ready to leave the UK “for good.”
After more than 20 years on the stage, Robin has booked a one-way flight to St Lucia and admits he is ready to hang up his dancing shoes.
But before he leaves he wants to put on an epic show that contains memorable dance routines for his faithful fans.
“It’s really just a way of saying ‘thank you’ to everyone who has supported me along the way,” he said.
“I have loved dancing and I couldn’t have wished for a better career.”
As well as appearing on the hit BBC TV show, Robin has also performed all over the world, nailing down roles in Broadway and the West End.
When he takes to the Palace Theatre stage in November, he will be joined by several other professional dancers who he says “will keep me on my feet.”
When asked why he wanted to leave Robin said: “Everything must come to an end – I’m getting older and unfortunately your body doesn’t allow you to do the same things you used to be able to do.
“But that doesn’t mean I won’t be putting everything into this performance, which I think could be the best one of my career.”
Robin told the Standard that he will also be having chats with audience members and letting them in on secrets that have never been told before.
“In between the sparkly and flamboyant dancing I will be talking about stuff from behind the scenes at Strictly.
“It will be really interesting for anyone who is a fan of the show or my work.”
However it won’t be the last Redditch fans see of him as Robin is set to return in this year’s pantomime production Aladdin at the Palace Theatre in December.
Tickets are now on sale at www.redditchpalacetheatre.co.uk or via Robin’s personal website.
