‘WE Will Rock You’ is the message from Tudor Grange students when they perform the school’s edition of the hit musical live on stage.
The performances are on March 10 and 11 at 7pm and the students are inviting members of the local community to come along to the show.
We Will Rock You is a jukebox musical from a book by Ben Elton with a cast of 30 based on the songs of British rock band Queen.
It tells the story of a group of bohemians who struggle to restore the free exchange of thought, fashion, and live music in a distant future where everyone dresses, thinks and acts the same.
Musical instruments and composers are forbidden, and rock music is all but unknown until it is rediscovered by ‘the dreamer’ Galileo Figaro who is accompanied by a girl he names Scaramouche who are being hunted down by the evil Killer Queen and his assistant Commander Khashoggi.
Add in ‘Britney Spears’ and ‘Meat Loaf’ and a great night is in store.
Their teacher, Tracy Anne Wright, said: “I couldn’t be prouder of our amazing cast and the standard of performance they have produced.
“We can’t wait to take our audience on their musical journey!”
