War - and what it can do to a relationship in latest ADS production

Correspondent 19th Nov, 2019

ALVECHURCH Dramatic Society turns the clock back 80 years and the start of the Second World War for their latest production ‘An Unsentimental Journey’.

Written by Alan Clarke, this new play tells the story of Rose and Richard, married shortly before the outbreak of World War 2, then separated as Richard fights in Europe.

When he finally returns home to Alvechurch, can they pick up the pieces of their relationship?

Moving back and forth through time, this thoughtful play asks questions about life and love, both now and then.

It runs at Alvechurch Village Hall from Thursday, November 28 to Saturday, November 30 at 7.30pm and tickets are £7/£6 from The Lounge, Alvechurch or by phoning 0121 447 7071.
