ENERGETIC members of Studley Cricket Club will undertake a 24-hour Bowlathon to raise funds for the club.
The event, which starts at 12pm on Friday and runs until midday on Saturday, June 16 to 17, will see people volunteer to bowl 30-minute sessions in the club’s two outdoor nets for a full 24 hours, including through the night.
The cash raised will go to improve the club’s facilities and equipment.
Studley Cricket Club champions the game locally and boasts four thriving adult teams and a junior section ranging from under nines to 13s.
As well as raising funds for the club, cash will also be generated for their chosen charity Dementia UK. The cause is close to the hearts of several long-standing members.
The club is aiming to raise £3,000 through donations via a crowdfunding page but all donations above will be gratefully received.
