REDDITCH Uniform Bank helped more than 500 families ahead of the schools starting back when it returned to the Kingfisher Centre last weekend.
The event, organised by Redditch Labour Party, appeals to the community to donate school uniform.
Coun Sharon Harvey said: “This is always an amazing event which has become a vital date in the community calendar.
“There are many volunteers who work incredibly hard to ensure the uniform bank is organised and successful.
“We must thank the Kingfisher Centre for its generous support in providing a venue and for being a key donation point.”
Batchley Support Group and Inspire CIC also opened space in their premises to collect uniform, enabling people across Redditch to easily contribute.
Items were all free but a donation bucket was available for those wishing to contribute.
This money was divided between Batchley Support Group, Inspire CIC and the funeral fund for Labour Party member Nettie Lloyd.
Leftover items have been distributed across various projects and charity shops. Unsuitable items have been recycled.
