OPERATOR of The National Lottery announced that the £500,000 prize from the Thunderball draw in December 2023 has remained unclaimed for more than 180 days after the draw took place.
The ticket-holder bought their Thunderball ticket in Redditch and the deadline for the ticket-holder to claim their prize was at midnight on Wednesday June 5 2024.
One of the charities that will receive the funding is Redditch Nightstop.
It provides emergency accommodation, supported lodgings, support and learning for people facing homelessness aged between 16 and 35.
In September 2023 it was awarded £465,000 to support its vital work.
A talking therapy service in Redditch for parents and parents-to-be who may be struggling with their journey through parenthood, will also receive a portion of the funding.
Andy Carter, senior winners’ advisor at The National Lottery, said: “Unfortunately, I can confirm that the ticket-holder did not come forward within the deadline to claim their prize and has now sadly missed out on this substantial amount of money.
“However, the money will now add to the £30M raised each week for National Lottery-funded projects.”
Anyone who has any queries or who believes they have the winning ticket for any of the National Lottery draws within the 180-day deadline should call the National Lottery Line on 0333 234 5050 or e[email protected].
