DAY Care Companions are organising a ‘cupcake day’ for Alzheimer’s Society on June 14.
The event will take place between 10am and 12pm at Osprey House in Studley.
Locals are encouraged to bake their own cupcakes and bring them along.
Jane Neville, Partner at Day Care Companions, said: “We are calling all bakers to help raise as much as we can to defeat dementia.
“I’m so excited for the event because hopefully we will raise a lot of money.
“It will also be a good opportunity to promote our Daycare service which we hold on Tuesdays and Thursdays for the elderly, dementia clients and people with life limiting conditions such as Parkinson’s Disease.”
There will be a raffle draw and a few fundraising games such as guessing how many cupcakes are in the jar, and who the famous person is behind the cupcake.
Stratford-on-Avoun District Councillors Justin Kerridge and Hazel Wright will also be attending on the day to show support.
