THE REDDITCH Association for the Blind got into the festive spirit at the group’s annual Christmas party.
More than 60 people attended, including borough Mayor Councillor Salman Akbar and Councillor Emma Marshall.
The association’s activities are funded in part by donations from supermarket collections around Redditch.
The funds raised have enabled the charity to donate half the cost of a new gas cooker to one of the blind members whose cooker was damaged just before Christmas.
Bill Payne, the charity’s chairman, said: “The people of Redditch are always generous, open hearted and good natured – thank you to them for their support.
“Our entertainer gave us some wonderful nostalgic 1960s music and the members enjoyed a full buffet, cakes and sherry during a great afternoon.”
