THE Year of the Rooster came alive for youngsters from the 1st Headless Cross Rainbows and 2nd Headless Cross Brownies when they celebrated the Chinese New Year.
Helped by members of the Redditch Chinese Association with their lion, the youngsters took part in the centuries’ old tradition of the lion dance.
The Year of the Rooster is the tenth in the 12 strong cycle of Chinese New Year and like a cock crowing in the morning, refers to punctuality and fidelity.
