RESDIENTS needing help with their basic digital skills can grab their tickets to t’Internet next month to get advice and guidance on how to get online.
The Computabus bus will be in Church Hill Centre and Gibbs Road in Abbey Dale on Thursday, April 7 and offer residents the chance to jump aboard and chat with online support ‘champions’.
The bus will be in Church Hill from 9.45am until 11.15am and Abbeydale from 12.15pm until 2.15pm.
Jennifer Delorenzo, assistant customer support manager, said: “If you know of someone who might benefit from learning the basics when it comes to going online, encourage them to pay us a visit when the bus comes to your area.
“Many council services can now be accessed online and everyday life often involves the internet or some form of technology. Having a basic understanding of how to use a computer can be really useful.”
On the Computabus visitors can find out how to get on the internet, how to set up an email address and check emails and get help accessing council services quickly and easily online.
