A COMMUNITY group has raised £300 for the Peckwood Centre after hosting the first ever film night at Rowney Green Village Hall.

Tickets to watch ‘The Blues Brothers’ were sold for £5 by ACE Rowney Green – a small group of friends who organise events for the enjoyment of villagers and surrounding communities.

This time they decided to raise money for the centre which is dependent on charitable support.

It’s available to use by various groups including scouts, brownies, schools and even filmmakers.

Member of ACE Rowney Green, Sue Dutton, said: “Thanks for the support of everyone that came and along to the evening.

“The money will go towards the new flooring for ‘The Ranch’ room in the centre.”
