Advice to trick or treaters this Halloween

Redditch Editorial 5th Oct, 2015 Updated: 18th Oct, 2016   0

WITH THE spookiest of nights fast approaching, adults are being urged by West Mercia Police to accompany children when trick or treating this Halloween.

Trick or treaters are encouraged not to knock on the doors of strangers, to always keep to well lit areas and unless pre-arranged, not to visit elderly members of the community.

Revellers are also advised to ensure their trick or treating does not frighten vulnerable people in the area.

Trick or treaters should keep their tricks within the law and are reminded that any trick which results in damage is an offence and will be dealt with as such.

Anyone who does not want to be disturbed this Halloween can visit the West Mercia police website to access a poster which can printed and displayed in windows.
