ACCOUNTANTS from Alcester banked almost £6,000 for charity with the par-fect fundraiser.
Zoo Accounting and Business Solutions Ltd held their first annual Charity Golf Day to raise funds for The Myton Hospices and Libby Mae’s Little Angels.
As well as 18 holes of golf on a championship-standard course, the event included a chance to win £25,000 on the hole-in-one challenge, a full English breakfast, a three course meal, live music, raffle and auction.
The event raised a total of £5,869.83, which meant that both charities received £2,934.92.
Chris Willmott, acting Partnerships Manager at Myton, said: “A huge, huge thank you to everyone at Zoo Accounting for organising and hosting the fabulous Golf Day at the Welcombe, which raised an even more fabulous amount of money for two very worthy causes.
“Huge thanks, also, to everyone who supported the event by taking part, donating money, prizes and sponsoring.
“Your support – and the wonderful amount of money you raised – will make such a huge difference to the lives of our patients and their families. So, thank you on behalf of everyone at The Myton Hospices, and, most importantly, on behalf of all our patients and their loves ones.”
Charlotte Sharratt, founder of Libby Mae’s Little Angels, said: “The funds raised will fund 60 memory boxes which are given to parents who suffer a neonatal bereavement.
“Each memory box contains hand and footprint kits, a memory candle, a notebook and pen, a memory verse plaque, two teddies (one to go with baby one to treasure) and the beautiful box in which you can keep your precious memories of your baby.
“We really can’t thank you enough and hope that we can work together again soon.”
