ALCESTER’S rising folk-pop prodigy Euan Blackman will launch his second EP ‘Rent Free on My Brain’ on January 26.

Featuring tracks backed by Spotify UK and BBC Introducing, it follows his successful debut EP ‘You Are the Rain’.

That was released last year and was supported by BBC Radio 6 Music, Wonderland and was playlisted by Spotify UK in Lost In The Woods.

Euan’s music has been praised by some of his heroes including acclaimed folk artist Benjamin Francis Leftwich, Radio 1’s Jack Saunders and Linkin Park’s Mike Shinoda.

He said: “Rent Free on My Brain is an amalgamation of narrative driven songwriting, with my love of bedroom pop.

“The EP aims to combine both the song-craft of folk, with production elements of modern indie.

“The result is a collection of songs that feel my strongest and I’m super proud to finally share.”

As an independent artist, Euan has built a loyal audience of fans on TikTok where he has over 22,000 followers and more than a million likes.

As a live act, Euan has performed at the Liverpool Philharmonic Hall, Cavern Club and a BBC Introducing live session.

He has also performed at festivals including Moseley Folk Festival, Lakefest and El Dorado festivals at Eastnor Castle, and Black Deer Festival in Kent.
