THE chef at an Indian restaurant in Alcester has been hailed after his chicken tikka masala won the Best Take Away Food of Great Britain award.
Chino Miah splits his work between Cardamom Indian Restaurant in Swan Street, Alcester and the Lime Pickle Indian takeaway in Castle Bromwich.
And although it was the takeaway which entered and won the award, he said local diners could be assured of the same award-winning quality.
“This means so much to me,” said Chino.
“I’ve appeared on the BBC and cooked a meal for the Birmingham Mail. Winning this trophy is a huge honour for me.”
