Alcester Male Voice Choir takes on the world at major festival

ALCESTER Male Voice Choir have just returned from a successful tour of Cornwall where they took part in the Cornwall International Male Choral Festival.

It attracted 50 choirs from around the world, staging some 40 concerts with a total audience of around 45,000.

The Alcester Male Voice Choir performed at several different locations, including Truro Cathedral over a busy four day period.

Later in the Summer, on July 28, the choir will joining other choirs from all over the West Midlands to sing at the opening ceremony of the Commonwealth Games being held at the Alexandra Stadium in Birmingham.




Judith Land BEM the Alcester Male Voice Choirs founder and Director of Music said: “All choirs have had a difficult couple of years, and we are no exception, but we are now back, and back strongly, and have concert bookings well into next year.

“We are delighted that we have been accepted to sing at both these prestigious events.


“Part of belonging to the Alcester Male Voice Choir is to enjoy new experience and create new memories which both these event do.”
