POLICE have launched an appeal to drivers to not leave valuables on view in an unattended car after a ‘smash and grab’ near the school on Alcester Road, Wootton Wawen.
An officer said: “This type of theft from vehicles parked near to schools at dropping off and picking up times has previously been an issue right across the area, although this is the first offence this year. We advise that valuables are not left in public view even if it is for a few minutes.”
The incident happened between 5.15pm and 5.35pm on Friday (March 17), the stolen items being found by a member of the public the following day on a footpath near Henley Golf Course.
