VISITORS to Alcester were met with seasonal songs as they went about their Christmas shopping.
Alcester Male Voice Choir, meeting for the first time since March, had taken up station on the Green by St Nicholas Church, fillign the air with traditional carols for passersby.
Judith Land BEM, director of music organised two different sessions using two sets of choristers – and each lasting 20 minutes.
The singing was described as vibrant and clear despite them wearing masks and standing socially distanced.
Venue Xpresso Coffee Shop, adjacent to the Church, provided refreshments outside and the event brought the choir, church and community together.
Father Christmas heard about the carollers and unexpectedly decided to drop in to see everyone too.
