Alcester's Crafty Lunch Club celebrates its 2nd birthday

AN EXTRA special serving of activities was dished up in Alcester to celebrate the Crafty Lunch Club’s second birthday.

The club is for adults with learning and physical disabilities where they can socialise, learn new skills, take part in creative activities and have a hot meal.

The group is led by Beth Clarke and Sam Fletcher, with a team of nine volunteers.

Over the past two years, the club has gone from a small group to 40 people attending each week. The club also won community organization of the year from Alcester Town Council last year.

The Crafty Lunch Club runs every Wednesday during term time from 11.30am to 1.30pm at The Eric Payne Community Centre in Alcester.

Each week there is a different theme with crafts, singing and dancing, outdoor trails, group games, quizzes and more.
