TEACHERS at a Redditch school shocked their students this week when they turned up for work wearing school uniforms.

The students of Tudor Grange had been busy fundraising for Children in Need by supporting the charity with a non-uniform day and cake sale, however much to their surprise the staff surprised them on Friday (November 18) by turning up in uniforms themselves.

Elaine Dart, Learning mentor at Tudor Grange said “We had so much fun with the students.

“They put me on report and nagged me all day to tuck my shirt in and keep my top button done up.

“It was a great way to have some fun with the students but more importantly raise money for such a good cause.”

Emily Barker, a Sixth Form student who has been responsible for leading on the charity events for Children in Need, said: “We are really pleased with how the event went and our cake sale sold out so quickly.

“We raised an amazing £503.04 and it’s the most we’ve ever raised for charity. We all had such a good day.”
