IT WAS a day to remember for Studley man Ken Beech as he celebrated his 95th birthday with fellow swimmers from the Studley Baths.
Ken, who has lived in the village for much of his life, belies his age by swimming three times a week and playing bowls.
The party, at the Little Lark pub on Alcester Road, had been organised by fellow swimmer Sandra Arnold.
“We held a party for his 90th birthday and we kept saying we’d do one for his 95th, and we did.
“Mandy at the Lark put on a lovely buffet and we’ve told Ken we’re looking forward to his 100th.”
