THE Churches of Redditch supported by Chaplaincy Staff from the Alexandra Hospital are inviting people to a service of Memorial and Hope at 6pm on Sunday, November 21.
“Many people have lost those they know and love during these last 18 plus months,” said Elaine Whitfield, church warden at St Stephen’s.
“For some of us it was not possible to be with our loved ones as they died or to mark their passing as we would have wanted.
“The service is intended to bring together those within the local community to remember all those who have died across our town, in our local care homes and at home since the virus first arrived.
“Not only is this an opportunity for people to remember those who have died during the Covid-19 pandemic, it is also a way for the wider community to come together, to grieve together and support all in the local community who have had their lives significantly changed by it.”
Churches of Redditch hope this service will give people space in which to remember but also a time in which to look forward to the hope that the Christian faith offers.
