Correspondent 3rd Oct, 2019

THE Mayor of Redditch Councillor Roger Bennett will be holding his Civic Service this Sunday, October 6 at 10.30am – and everyone is welcome to join him.

The service will be held at St Stephen’s Church in celebration of the Mayoralty before heading to the Town Hall for refreshments.

The service will be led by Reverend Paul Lawlor, Vicar at St Stephen’s Church and Faith at Work Town Centre Chaplain with organ accompaniment by Philip Jarvis, assisted by Julie Bradbury.

The collection from the service will be divided between the Mayor’s charities; League of Friends – Alexandra Hospital, BluWave Community Transport and Redditch Mental Health Action Group.

Coun Bennett said: “My wife and I would like to warmly welcome all friends, colleagues and residents from Redditch and further afield to the Civic Service and hope plenty of people come along to join us.

“It is a lovely occasion and all donations will be helping to raise money for three great and very worthy causes.”
