Andy rolls out the welcome mat at Redditch Round Table

REDDITCH Round Table has a new chairman.

Andy Norris has taken over from Paul Marsh and is looking to the future by working with members to introduce a range of new social activities, and to further support the local community through fundraising efforts.

Redditch Round Table was first chartered in November 1948 and offers a place for men from all walks of life to have a laugh and discover a world of new activities whilst meeting like-minded individuals.

The Table’s key events include axe throwing, footgolf, go-karting, water sports, spirit making and Christmas charity collections.

Andy said: “We fully expect this year’s plans to remain quite fluid, and will adapt to any challenges thrown our way in the event of Covid still being with us,

“I have planned a full diary that should work with the road map for coming out of restrictions, but we will do what we can around any changes.

“We’ll still be welcoming new members and will be having our welcoming event in May, restrictions permitting, where we can get together in small and safe groups. We hope to see you there!”

As well as packing in the good times, a key theme of Round Table is raising money for worthy local causes.

“I am thinking of new ways to fund raise so we do not rely too heavily on our fantastic Christmas collections,” said Andy.

“We hope to offer more to the community and raise funds where and when we can to give back to the people of Redditch.

“We are not just about collecting money, though, and will be looking to other ways to help within the local community, so please get in touch if you think we could help.”
