DEDICATED ‘angel knitters’ have been busy with their needles ready for a ‘yarn bombing’ campaign in the run up to Christmas.
Since the summer a group of members and friends of the community of the Bridge church at Headless Cross have been knitting and crocheting small ‘Christmas Angels’.
So far more than 1,330 have been collected at the church. The plan is to ‘yarn bomb’ them in the area the week before Christmas.
They will be placed around the Headless Cross area with a tag attached inviting those who find them to take them home.
It is hoped the angels will bring a smile to the faces of busy, Christmas-hassled local folk who find them.
