Appeal as Redditch community champion's motor scooter is stolen

HEARTLESS thieves stole a motor scooter belonging to a Redditch community champion.

The raiders struck at Arrow Valley Lake on Tuesday night, stealing the bike (pictured) belonging to Jo Bussey.

Jo is well-known in the town, being from Little Oaks Pre-School and Redditch Loves CIC which hosts community-focused events such as nearly-new sales and others to raise funds and items for those in need.

One friend of Jo’s, Sue Yeng, told the Standard: “This is a very sad situation – Jo is forever helping people and has a programme of summer activities full of fun and treats.

“Jo was about to use the bike to deliver packs of useful items to families around Redditch.

“Jo is also one of the main organisers of the Redditch Carnival and muc-loved by parents at her pre-school, Little Oaks at St Luke’s First School.”

Jo said: “I’m absolutely gutted it was stolen.

“We really need CCTV around the lake for the safety of everyone.”

Anyone with information on the stolen bike or who knows where it is should call officers on 101.
