Appeal for Christmas gifts for disadvantaged children launched in Redditch

Redditch Editorial 29th Nov, 2023   0

A REDDITCH business is appealing for Christmas present donations for disadvantaged children.

Shield Total Insurance has joined Cash for Kids to ensure every child wakes up with a gift this Christmas.

The team is also raising funds in office by holding events, including ‘pie a manger in the face’, a Christmas jumper day, Christmas quiz and a silent auction.

They will use the cash raised to buy more gifts and on December 15 November will go to B&M in the town and donate the gifts.

Amie Gardiner from Shield Total Insurance said: “A notable thanks must go to The Entertainer in Redditch which donated a gift voucher to buy gifts, Redditch Vue which donated cinema tickets as a prize, and Junior Qadeer who helped spread the word and donated cash.

“Also ex-mayor of Redditch Ann Isherwood has also helped get the word out.”

A spokesperson for Cash for Kids said: “Our mission is to improve the lives of disadvantaged children and young people in our communities who are affected by poverty, illness, neglect or have additional needs.

“We believe all children should be able to express their individuality, achieve their potential and live life to the full.

“We work with grassroots organisations that aim to make a difference to young lives, directly supporting families who often have nowhere else to go.”

Visit Shield Total Insurance on Facebook for more and to donate.

The company has an Amazon Wishlist which can be accessed by its Shield Total Insurance Facebook account.

Donated gifts should be delivered to their offices at 1 Brooklands, Redditch.
