POLICE are appealing to the Wythall community for information following a burglary at Tesco Express on the Alcester Road at 3.40am on Wednesday morning, September 19.

Two thieves smashed their way in through the front window to raid the supermarket.

Officers are calling for anyone who saw anything to ring them on 101, quoting incident number: 0043s 190918.

Elsewhere in Wythall, in the early hours of September 13, thieves attempted a car key burglary of a property in Hollywood Lane.

Two offenders climbed over a side wall and used a rock to smash open a side kitchen window.

They climbed in and grabbed the keys for a VW Golf.

They then left the house, climbed into the car but efforts to steal it failed as a security code was needed to start it.
