POLICE are appealing for help in tracing a silver-coloured vehicle that was parked by a van targeted by thieves in Toms Town Lane, Studley.
Officers say they believe the vehicle is connected with the attempted theft, which saw would-be thieves cut a hole in the side sliding door of the van.
However when they opened the door it set off the intruder alarm, alerting the owner and causing the culprits to run off.
The incident happened at around 9pm on Monday, January 16 and anyone with any information is urged to ring 101 and reference the crime number 375 of 16 January.
