Arrow Valley Parkrun celebrates its sixth birthday

Redditch Editorial 23rd Jul, 2018   0

ARROW VALLEY Parkrun in Redditch celebrated its sixth birthday with around 400 people doing the weekly 5k run.

Despite England crashing out in the semi-final, runners followed the World-Cup theme and dressed as various nations across the world.

Saturday’s Parkrun on July 14, which started in Stitch Meadow at 9am, was the 315th race in Arrow Valley since 2012.

After the run there was a training session for people who were interested in becoming guide runners for visually impaired people.

Arrow Valley Parkrun takes place at 9am every Saturday and is one of many held across the UK and in many other countries around the world.

There is no joining cost because the event is organised entirely by local volunteers.
