MEMBERS of Astwood Bank Scout Group recently enjoyed a high-flying day out at the RAF Cosford Museum, thanks to the generous support of Astwood Bank Royal British Legion.
A total of 35 young people – Beavers, Cubs and Scouts – joined the trip, along with several members of the legion for a day packed with learning, exploration and fun.
The group explored the museum’s impressive collection of aircraft, tanks and missiles, took part in interactive challenges and even stepped inside a real transport plane to visit the cockpit.
They also had the chance to experience 4D and virtual reality flight simulations.
Sally Payne, group lead volunteer for Astwood Bank Scouts, said: “This visit was a wonderful example of what can be achieved when community organisations come together.
“The support of the Astwood Bank Royal British Legion made it possible for our young people to learn, explore and be inspired – together across generations.
“We are really grateful for their continued support.”
