THERE was a special treat for pupils at Woodfield Academy last week when top children’s author Emma Shevah dropped in to talk to pupils.
Emma is the great, great granddaughter of King Rama I of Thailand but chose a life as a writer instead, penning heartwarming bestsellers like Dream on Amber and Dara Palmer’s Major Drama to name a few.
At the Studley Road school she led several writing workshops and talked about her books, devising the plots and revealing where her ideas come from.
