AN AWARD-WINNING children’s author made a return to a Redditch school to promote her latest book.
Cathy Cassidy visited Woodfield Academy last Wednesday (February 11) as part of a national tour following the release of Sweet Honey, the newest in the Chocolate Box Girl series.
The event was attended by over 300 pupils from Woodfield, Birchensale, St Bede’s and Walkwood Middle Schools.
Librarian Amanda Curtis said: “Author events in schools have such an incredible impact and inspire children to love reading.
“Our girls will remember this wonderful experience with Cathy for a very long time to come.”
