'AUTUMN IN REDDITCH' - You send in your pictures

WE ASKED you to send in your ‘Autumn in Redditch’ pictures and you did not disappoint.

The borough has so many green areas, such as Arrow Valley Countryside Park and lake, Morton Stanley Park. In those and in other areas, the green leaves on trees turn into vibrant reds, oranges and yellows. Scenic views are reflected in the lake.

With the clocks due to go back next Sunday (October 27), the days will grow even shorter and the air turns crisp. It is then these countryside areas come alive with the rich colours of falling leaves providing a beautifully picturesque paths. It is the ideal time to go for a stroll – on your own, with loved ones, family and friends.

And, despite the end of summer, there is so much going on at this time of year – from harvest festivals and services to celebrate the abundance of produce coming to fruition to Halloween festivities and, after that Bonfire Night.

Community events, such as bonfire nights, foster a sense of togetherness. During these, friends and families gather to enjoy the warmth of the fire and enjoy food and drink.

Talking of the seasonal delights we embrace in the autumn, now is the perfect time to cook a sumptuous soup, a classic casserole or other comfort food to enjoy.

As nature prepares for winter, the changing season serves as a reminder of the beauty in transition. Autumn in Redditch is not just a time of change, but a celebration of community, nature, and the simple joys that come with this enchanting season.
