Awards all round as Studley Scouts celebrate another year of success

IT was thumbs up for Studley Scouts Group as they celebrated another successful year at their recent AGM.

There to hand out the silverware were County Commissioner, Nigel Hailey and Assistant District Commissioner, Peter Fordham.

Young Ryan was awarded the Mary Hemming Star Award for Cub of the Year while Arrow Colony Beaver George clinched the Thumbs Up Beaver of the Year Award.

Scout of the Year was Jonathan.

For the leaders Debbie Morris, chair of Studley Scout Group, was awarded the Silver Acorn award for her distinguished services to Scouting and her 30 years service award and treasurer Gordon Marshall picked up his 20 years service award.

Scout Group Leader Karen Marshall said: “We are very proud of all our award winners.

“We are currently trying to offer our Scout programme to more 11 – 14 year-olds by opening a new Scout Troop, If anyone would be interested in supporting it or volunteering behind the scenes please do contact us.”
