A ‘NEW’ live music venue for Redditch aims to recreate the heady nights of the ’70s when the place rocked to the sound of Frank Blake’s Kaleidiscope and live bands, such as the Cravats, Quartz and The Stranglers.
‘Into The Valley’ at the TRICO Stadium, the home of Redditch United, on Sallie Swan Street (off Bromsgrove Road) will open its doors to the public on Friday December 14 with a classic rock-themed night and live music from special guests Led Hendrix.
Originating from Bromsgrove, Led Hendrix are the UK’s only band to pay tribute to the music of two of rock music’s greatest artists, the mighty Led Zeppelin and Jimi Hendrix.
Always respectful to the classics, Led Hendrix captures the sounds and style of the original artist with a modern twist, using period instruments to further enhance the sound and visual experience.
The band formed in 2015, and have built up a strong following around the region with 2019 seeing them touring venues across the UK.
In September 2018, Led Hendrix performed in front of an international audience at the John Bonham A Celebration event in Redditch town centre, and went down a storm.
The initiative is being backed by a group of local music fans, lead by Jeff Watson.
“The town centre is lacking a live music venue, and Into The Valley aims to plug that gap” said Jeff.
“We want to become the place in Redditch to see local, regional and touring bands of all music genres.”
Doors open from 7.30pm with the band on stage from 8pm, free admission to Over 18s only.
