Correspondent 28th Aug, 2018

LOCAL MP Rachel Maclean swapped politics for the fast lane when she met Redditch motorbike racing star Trystan Finocchiaro.

The 19-year-old journalism student met with Mrs Maclean today, Tuesday, August 28, to talk about his successes so far and his ambitions for the future.

Trystan is the only British rider currently competing in the World Supersport 300 series this season.

“It was a huge honour to meet Trystan and to congratulate him in person on everything he’s achieved in his career so far at such a young age,” said Mrs Maclean.

“He is clearly incredibly talented and I’m sure he’ll be a MotoGP star of the future!!

Trystan told how much he relies on sponsorship from Redditch businesses to be able to compete.

In response Mrs Maclean urged local firms to get behind the rising star.

“As you can imagine it costs a lot of money to compete in the World Supersport 300, and Trystan’s family heavily rely on fantastic Redditch businesses to sponsor him,” she said.

“If you know of any business which might be interested in supporting him please get them to contact him via www.trystanfinocchiaro58.com/. ”

In return businesses will be able to promote their brand to a national and global audience, with World Supersport 300 broadcast to 90 countries around the world, appearing on Eurosport and ITV here in the UK.

Sponsors will also get their company logo on merchandise and branding, as well as the ability to bring key colleagues, customers and guests to top events and be treated as VIPS.

Many Redditch businesses already sponsor Trystan, including Transmec Group and Kerax Hyperdrive.
