Animal lovers and music fans alike are being invited to an evening of live entertainment to raise vital funds for Wythall Animal Sanctuary.

The fundraiser will take place on Friday, September 5, 2025, at the Hare and Hounds, Kings Heath, with doors opening at 6.30pm.

The night will feature a packed line-up of five incredible bands: King Krab, Mistrusted, Balaban and the Bald Illeagles, Eyes, and Shotgun Marmalade.

Tickets are £10 in advance or £12.50 on the door, with all proceeds going directly to support the Sanctuary’s work caring for and rehoming animals. Advance tickets can be purchased online via Skiddle: Book tickets here.

Wythall Animal Sanctuary, a registered independent charity, has been rescuing and rehoming animals for more than 50 years. Founded in 1963 by Dave and Kath Davies, the sanctuary has grown into a safe haven for dogs, cats, rabbits, guinea pigs, and its two resident ponies, Alfie and Bungle. The charity operates on a non-destruct policy, meaning animals stay at the Sanctuary until they find their forever homes, or for life if rehoming isn’t possible.

The site now boasts modern facilities including two dog rehoming buildings, a dedicated cattery with a mother-and-kitten unit, rabbit and guinea pig runs, stables, paddocks, and “The Mews” garden area where resident cats live. The Sanctuary also runs a successful dog boarding service, with all income helping to fund its rescue work.

A spokesperson for Wythall Animal Sanctuary said:

“We rely solely on donations and the generosity of our supporters to continue our work. Events like this not only raise much-needed funds, but also bring our community together in support of animals who desperately need our help.”

The charity is encouraging as many people as possible to come along, enjoy a great night of live music, and help ensure that their vital work continues for years to come.
