NEARLY £4,500 has been raised for a veterans’ mental health charity thanks to an exciting event at Ragley Hall.
A total of £4,499 was donated to Combat Stress after the fourth annual Battle Proms concert on Saturday (August 16).
On the night, the 6,000-strong crowd enjoyed a choreographed Spitfire display and a full programme of classic music as well as a mounted skill-at-arms display to mark the 100th anniversary of the start of the First World War.
Combat Stress’ Ellie Hall said: “We are delighted to be working with the Battle Proms again, and to date have raised over £182,000 at various concerts over the years.
“We would like to offer our sincere thanks to the generous Ragley Hall Battle Prommers, many of whom attend year on year and never fail to surprise us with their generosity.”
