TIDINGS of Comfort and Joy are on display at St Stephen’s Church where a traditional nativity scene has been set up in the entrance.
“As you approach St Stephen’s you can walk through the Christmas tree, as you do so, your eyes are drawn to the porch of St Stephen’s where you discover a Crib scene,” said churchwarden Elaine Whitfield.
“This reminds us of the root of the Christmas message – that God came to us as the baby Jesus revealing God’s love for us.
“Such an important message in these difficult times.”
She added that many people had come together to create the scene, backed by Churches Together in Redditch.
Local artist, Bethany Pearce created an the depiction of Bethlehem in the form of a large triptych work of art completed in just eight days.
Churchwarden Keith Abbotts then created a stable from wood generously donated by Buildbase Redditch.
