Beoley fund-raisers hope to foot the bill for second life-saving defibrillator

STAFF and students at the town’s Beoley First School are extending a warm invitation to the Redditch community to join them in an evening of fun at the Village Hall in the hope of funding a community defibrillator.

The Holt End site will play host to the fund-raising event on Friday (April 15) with all proceeds going towards funding a community defibrillator via the Charlotte and Craig Saving Hearts Foundation.

The equipment would be available 24 hours day and will help to save the life of anyone who suffers a cardiac arrest in or around the premises.

The defib would be the second in the village with the school already housing one.

Beoley Hearts will see a fun-filled evening of entertainment including a Magic Russ Magic Show for grown ups, heart themed games and a raffle.

The fun and games will kick off at 7.30pm with the ticket fee, £5, including access to the show and supper whilst the bar will be open serving further refreshments.

Email [email protected] to order tickets.

In the event of an emergency, anyone who needs to use the defibrillator should call 999 where they will be given the code to unlock the cabinet and access the equipment.

Anyone interested in receiving a defibrillator or to donate should call the Underwoods on 07794 637073.
