Beth’s home in Redditch for Tour Series

Redditch Editorial 15th May, 2015 Updated: 18th Oct, 2016

REDDITCH cycling star Beth Crumpton is to ride in her home event when the Tour Series comes in town.

It will be the first time the Under 23 Great Britain cross country mountain bike champion has a free space in her packed competition calendar to compete in the race and hopes are high she’ll have the time to offically open the event too.

Beth, from Crabbs Cross, rides for the Hargreaves Cycles RT team, one of many that will be competing in what is the first round of the Matrix Fitness Grand Prix Ladies Race, which boasts its biggest ever field of 78 riders.

The starting gun for her race is at 6pm and it will be quickly followed by the men’s event , round two of the Pearl Izumi Tour Series, featuring Olympic gold medallist Ed Clancy and the team of World, Olympic and Tour de France winner Bradley Wiggins – who may even turn up himself.
