BIG-hearted Reddittch baker Diane Driscoll is checking her recipes as she prepares for her tenth annual cake sale in aid of Macmillan Cancer Support.
Every year since 2007 people have been flocking to her event to enjoy not just the tea, coffee and cakes but also the nearly new sale, raffle and much more.
And such is the quality of what’s on offer it’s no surprise that in the process she has raised thousands for the caring charity with last year’s event bringing in more than £2,000 alone.
“It’s much more than just tea and biscuits and I’m hoping to attract as many people as possible so we can raise as much money as possible,” said Diane.
Her event, which is widely supported by both residents and local businesses, is on September 6 from 11.30am at her home at 90 Vicarage Crescent off Bromsgrove Road, and will last “until whenever everyone goes home,” said Diane.
