REDDITCH Lions have raised a bumper £412 to help those affected by the ferocious bushfires in Australia.
Members of the big-hearted organisation launched their appeal in the Kingfisher Shopping Centre on January 14.
The fires have destroyed entire communities and killed millions of animals in their natural habitats.
Club president Mike Andrews said: “We were very pleased with the generosity and positive response we received from the pubic.
“We raised all of the cash in one day and it will be used to provide water tanks and other humanitarian needs.”
