BIG HEARTED Redditch residents are doing their bit for the town’s vulnerable by buying into the Grab and Go initiative of Morrisons supermarket.

The store’s Grab and Go bags range in price from 70p to £3 / £4 .

All customers need to do is select one, take it to the till and pay for the items in the bags and then place it in the store’s food donation station behind the tills.

“Yet again i am overwhelmed by Morrisons customers,” said the store’s community champion Bev Allington.

“I am refilling on a daily basis and this is all down to the kindness of our local community.

“Things are not getting any easier with the loss of jobs and the continuing uncertainty.

“We at Morrisons want to help our local food banks and local charities and support our isolating and vulnerable customers wherever possible.

“We are offering a next day delivery service which caters for people who do not use computers. All you have to do is phone 03456 116111 and press option 5, this will direct you to an operator who will take your order.

“The delivery is free to the vulnerable and those isolating.

“Finally we would like to say ‘thank you’ and please do keep supporting your local businesses large and small.”
