Big hearted Rory back at the helm for Redditch Round Table

REDDITCH Round Table has a new chairman.

Taking the top seat for the second time is Rory O’Neill who succeeds Andy Norris.

Redditch Round Table has been established since 1948 and offers a place for men from all walks of life to simply have a laugh, and discover a world of new activities whilst meeting like-minded individuals.

The Table’s key events include axe throwing, footgolf, go-karting, water sports, spirit making and Christmas charity collections.

“We’ve adopted a new approach for this year with events, adapting the ideas from our fellow Tablers around the country and indeed the world,” said Rory.

“As a result we are looking to improve on this for years to come with new and exciting events, stuff you might not be able to do with the regular group of mates and of course fundraising along the way.”

He added: “When we’re not running events of our own we may be going to nearby Tables events and joining them, from beer festivals to firework events, Santa Sleigh builds to soapbox races, the list really is endless.

“We want to get involved more in community projects as well as fundraising to help those in need, and now we are working more closely with our sister organisation the Redditch Ladies Circle as well as the Redditch 41 club and Redditch Tangent, other (clubs for men and women in the town that want to get involved but may be over the age limit for Table or Circle.”

And of course there is the annual Santa Sleigh collection organised by Redditch Round Table.

“We have a brilliant team behind us from all four clubs ready to work side by side to spread more Christmas cheer again this year, and includes the President of Ladies Circle, Great Britain and Ireland as she is a member of the Redditch Circle!

“We look forward to doing more again this year, please do get in touch through our social media platforms or webpages, or even drop us an email to see how we could help.”
